• The CDC recommends COVID-19 vaccines to everyone 6 months and older.
• Updated bivalent COVID-19 boosters—with added protection against the Omicron variant—are available for individuals 6 months and older who’ve completed their monovalent primary series.
• Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals have specific COVID-19 vaccine recommendations.
Eligible Alabama Residents:
- While all individuals age 16 and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Alabama, the Moderna vaccine is recommended for people aged 18 years and older.

Eligible Mississippi Residents:
- The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is recommended for people aged 6 months and older.
- The Comirnaty vaccine is recommended for individuals 12 years of age and older. It is also authorized for emergency use to provide a third primary series does to individuals 12 years of age and older with certain kinds of immunocompromise.
